Live Performance Filming
Ozbi — Live Performance
DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY and Editor
In short
I worked as cinematographer and editor on Ozbi's live performance series. The performances were captured multi-camera, synced to the audio recording and cut to the rhythm of the music. "Sana Sormam" and "Bu Nasıl Sevda" are part of this series.
In live performance the edit's job is not to document the event but to transfer the feeling of being in that room. Camera positions were planned around the structure of each song: the passages where instruments lead, the sections carried by the vocal, and the places where the piece breathes.
Multi-camera material was synced on a single timeline and the cut was placed against the beat. In the grade, the shift stage lighting introduces into skin tones was corrected to hold a consistent image across the performance.
